Word 2007 does autorecover

so running in compatibility mode), I just get the hourglass. Endlessly. So
then I force the program to shut down again via the dialog box or the Task
Manager. Then the same thing happens again when I open it. I have run all
the
Diagnostics. It said there was one problem, which it fixed. Well, it
hasn't
fixed this problem.

I cannot delete the file via the autorecover dialog that comes up--that
option isn't available. I can't save it under a different name because
when i
try to, it just gives me the hourglass again.

I don't know wht the problem is, but I really, really need this file.
there
is tons of data on it.
