Default Embedded Objects

Often this means that the object was linked to an external file, and that
file cannot be located. I remember it a lot back in Office 97 and earlier,
and haven't seen it for some time.

When I open a worksheet with an embedded object in it, the object appears
as
a white square/rectaangle with a red X in the top left hand corner.
Can someone tell me how to fix this so that the objects are visible when I
open excel.

Thanks,

Pete.
