Default Excel spreadsheet comment boxes keep shrinking smaller than te

huh. dunno! how 'bout in the format comment box, if you choose the
"Alignment" tab, and check the box that says "automatic size"?
i don't know what could be making them change size, but maybe this
would make it go back to what it's supposed to be, at least so you
could read the text.

no, just tried that out - doesn't work.
i don't see anything else in the format comment box that would help -
i also tried locking the size ratio & that didn't work either.
maybe somebody else has an idea - or try searching the newsgroup.
sorry!

Susan, I did what you suggested and the option button for "don't move or size
with cells" was already selected. I checked several comment boxes and all had
the same button already selected, am assuming it is the default setting. What
now? All comments appreciated.

Thanks S, I do insert rows frequently and sometimes expand some column
widths. I will check out your suggestion. Thanks for your help,

inserting rows or columns will cause size of comment boxes to change
UNLESS you format the comment (autoshape) and under the "properties"
tab tick the option button "don't move or size with cells."

Comment boxes continue to get smaller from time to time and some of the text
dose not appear. I can increase the size of the box so all text is
showing.but at some point they will shrink again. What is causing this?
