Default Hlp! Protect Cells in Dynamic Range

Hi,

I have large worksheets that will be updated regularly with new data. I am
using dynamically named ranges, which works very well.

My question now, however, is:

How can I tell Excel that if cells become part of a dynamic range as it
expands, to protect the cells (as they contain formulas I don't want anyone
to modify) OR
How can I protect cells in a particular column as it expands as referring
to a dynamic range within its formula?

I know I can simply select an entire column, but from my understanding, this
slows the system down and I have extremely large sheets.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
