copy value from cell above
You are 100% correct!
say we put =1+2 in A1
if we click on A2 and touch CNTRL-d the same formula appears in A2
if we click on A2 and touch = UPARROW CNTRL-ENTER
a reference appears in A2.
These are two different legal ways to get two different results

I am trying to copy the value of the cell above but no matter, I get the cell
reference instead of the cell value.
What switch do I need to turn on or off, I have never had this problem before.
Thanks
