Default I need to change hardcoded background color

What are the 'traditional methods' you've tried? If we know what you've
tried, then we won't suggest trying it again.

One non-traditional? method would be to choose all the cells on the sheet by
clicking the blank gray block just above the row 1 indicator and to the left
of the column A indicator, then choose Edit | Clear | Formats
Of course that means you'll have to go back into the worksheet and set up
things like currency, numeric and data formats all over again. You might
want to try that on a copy of the sheet before doing it to the real deal in
case it turns out to be an unacceptable solution.

I have a spread sheet that has a background color that want to change but I
have tried all the traditional methods and none have worked is this some sort
of coding or script that won't allow me to remove the color.
