Default What hyperlink method if any supports target rename?

I want to have several hyperlinks to the same external file on my hard
disk. And I want to be able to move or rename the file at will.

I accept that, on renaming the file, I'll also rename its hyperlink
target in Excel. BUT, I only want to rename the target ONCE in Excel.
I refuse to rename EVERY Excel hyperlink to it.

If I use function =HYPERLINK(target), and if <target is, say, a range
name pointing to a formula, then whenever I rename <target, all
hyperlinks to it will update.

But that is NOT TRUE if I use Excel's native hyperlink dialog, invoked
thru Insert / Hyperlink. With it, you evidently give a cell GREATER
functionality than you do with mere function =HYPERLINK()--see
9/17/2007 thread "When is =HYPERLINK() not a hyperlink?"

So my question: Using Excel's NATIVE hyperlink capability (NOT
=HYPERLINK() function), can hyperlinks be created so that a rename of
the file requires only ONE rename as a hyperlink target in Excel?

Thanks.
