Default HELP... ?

Thanks, I think this might work. i am working with income statements and the
numbers you subtract have to be displayed with brackets around them and
Formating the cell as accounting does not do this since it only puts brackets
around negative numbers, but I have a positive number that I need changed.
Thanks again.

Put -1 in an empty cell, copy it, select the positive numbers and do
editpaste special and select multiply. This will of course change the
number to a negative but I am not 100% sure what you want?

A formula would look like

=-A1

Is there a way or a function to change a positive number you get by
applying
a formula to a negative number, so you can have it displayed with
brackets.
