Couple of ways to deal with this.

1. ToolsCustomizeToolbars.

Scroll down and select Worksheet Menu Bar and "Reset"

2. ToolsCustomizeCommands.

Scroll down to Built in Menus and drag the Edit menu to the Menu Bar.

Drag the mal-functioning Edit menu off the Menu Bar
