You can put a list of numbers in the worksheet, then use one of these
utilities to apply the worksheet labels to the data points as labels:
Rob Bovey's Chart Labeler,
http://appspro.com
John Walkenbach's Chart Tools,
http://j-walk.com

One more question, I found how to change them individually, but now can I
custom change them to have each bullet a separate number instead of a type
of
bullet? I won't need the legend, I would just like to number each bullet
instead of having a square, diamond, etc. for them as there may be 30+
different points on the scatter diagram. I see a custom option but that
doesn't allow me to actually change it to a number?
Thanks!

Click on a series once will select the series, click again to select an
individual data point. Then either use the Format menu or right-click.

Can I change each individual data point to be something different such
as
a
square, diamond, etc.? I don't see the format data point option
anywhere?

Format Data Point will let you change an individual point, but that
won't
show up in the legend. If you want different markers & different
legend
entries, it sounds as though they should be different data series.

Office 2003 - I have a scatter chart and would like to make the
bullet
points
in the chart individual numbers and then have a legend telling what
the
numbers correlate to (company names in this case). However, I can't
seem
to
change the scatter diagram points in the chart? They are diamonds
right
now.
Can I change each point individually in the chart to something
different?
Any ideas?
