If you have a series of values in a single cell separated by ALT-ENTER, then
1. select the cell
2. Data Text to Columns Delimited Next Other
click in the box next to the Other checkbox
While holding down the ALT key, touch 010
Finish

This will split up the data into individual cells, then addition will be easy.
