Default Vary Colors in the Same Data Series

Charts with more than one data series cannot use that feature. I expect the
concern is that two points from different series might get same colour and
confuse viewer.

You can still re-colour each point one-by-one. Click on point twice (not a
double click but click-pause-click, to get one point selected - watch for
markers around the 'block' making the chart point) Then use Format on menu
(or right click to open Format Select Data Point) now you can select a
colour.
