Default Can I replace a ' at the beginning of a text cell using Replac

I'll be da***d - that was it!!!
Thank you SO, SO much, both of you, and I apologize for my stupidity.
I was searching for the option to add radio buttons, although I had no idea
what that would be good for ... hahahaha.
Thank you again, that was MOST helpful.

He meant that you should select add in the paste special options, those
round circles that you can select are called radio buttons (or options
buttons)

Thank you, JE. Unfortunatley, I don't have the option to Add radio
buttons. I
am working with Excel 2002 SP3. Sorry, I should have clarified that in my
question.

One way:

Copy an empty cell. Select your 825 cells. Choose Edit/Paste Special,
selecting the Values and Add radio buttons. Click Next.

I have an Excel spreadsheet with a column of 825 numbers. These numbers
were
put in with the preceding apostrophe so Excel recognizes the numbers as
text.
The spreadsheet was probably created with an older version of Excel.
I need to get the apostrophes (') out of the cells as I have to import
the
whole spreadsheet into a certain program, which cannot read the symbol,
and
thus the import fails. Formatting the cells to Text does not work, nor
does
General, as the ' was typed into the cells. I tried to use Find and
Replace,
but that didn't work for me.
Is there a way to maybe use a formula to get only the apostrophe out of
the
825 cells?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
