Default Locked for editing

You should be able to open it and save it with a different name in a non
read-only version if the locked for editing was done in Excel.

Alternatively, use your Windows Explorer, browse to the file in question.
Right-click on the file's name and choose [Properties]. Clear the [Read
Only] property setting. Close the dialog windows. Should open without being
read-only now.

I click on the Excel icon to open Excel and a window pops up saying
"Book2.xls is locked for editing. Read only. How do I unlock this worksheet
and clear this?

Thanks for your help
