Default Track Cell Changes

Hi

Make your project in Access instead of Excel. There will be it extremly easy
to design a single form which displays every project from Projects table
(ProjectID, ProjectName, Version, Recieved, Agreed, Delivered), and has a
contionous subform p.e. Details based in table ProjectDetails (DetailID,
ProjectID, DetailDate, Status, ...), where non-fixed info for selected
project is displayed. Link subform with main form through ProjectID, add
into main form a combo to navigate between projects (an unbound combo with
row source 'SELECT DISTINCT ProjectID, ProjectName & " ver. " & Version FROM
Projects ORDER BY 2', with BoundColumn=1, ColumnCount=2, and
ColumnWidths=0cm;2.5cm, and with an AfterUpdate event to navigate to
selected project - it will be created automatically when you generate the
combo using wizard), and there you are. You can select any existing project,
edit or delete it, add new projects, and whenever you add a new detail line
in subform, it'll be automatically assigned to project active currently in
main form.

Hello,

I have started to work more with excel again in my new job and require
some help on a tracker spreadsheet that has been created. Best way is
to use an example of what I am trying to achieve.

Suppose we have 4 columns

Col A - ID
Col B - Version
Col C - Project Name
Col D - Received On
Col E - Agreed Delivery Date
Col E - Delivered Date
Col F - Status

I want to try and implement a History log on Column F - Status. The
status changes depending on projects and the status is to be updated
as we go along.

Currently new comments overwrite old comments within the Status
Columns Cells. I would like that once a cell has been updated, e.g

Cell F2 was - Build started. THEN on another day
Cell F2 changes to Build delayed.

The old comments should be saved on a separate sheet with the ID,
Version, Project Name and the Old Comments with a date when it was
changed.

I would be grateful if someone pointed me to the right direction to
carry this solution out otherwise it leaves me with a manual editing
option which is time consuming.

Appreciate your help on this.

Thanks
