Default Excel Function make calculations using fill color as identifier?

Unless he/she is using 2007, then one can use SUBTOTAL and filter by colour

Please give us an example.

If you want to sum by color for example you need to write a vba routine.

Is there a way to use the fill color in cells to create calculations

Thanks
