Might try making the cell a bit wider, it may be that it's too narrow to even
show a single word. Perhaps give us an example of an entry you've made into
a cell that gives you this problem. Also, format another cell (in same
column) the same way and type a long word from the phrase into it and see
what happens?

"wrap" option. But still when I type a fair amount of text in, with
spaces, commas, semi-colons, the cell just is filled with one line of
solid #'s. Why doesn't it just show the text? I thought that is what
wrap is supposed to do. It works on other cells with less text.
