Default Cannot work with Excel: doesn't allow to insert a new number

It sounds to me like the mouse keys are set opposite the way you want them.

Try this:

Start - Control Panel - Mouse - Switch the left and right mouse buttons.

It's hard to explain, but I'll try. First, I'm in a french edition, so don't
sure if the names I'm using are correct !

When I open Excel and want to add a number in a cell, each time I'm doing
this, the cursor highlight directly the formula bar and a popup menu open
with "Copy, Cut, Paste, Cell format, ...)

I'm on Windows Vista Home Premium (x64 version), Office Home Edition. As a
possible problem... My keyboard is an "old" Logitech and doesn't have the
correct driver... BUT every other program (Word, OneNote, Outlook (bought the
standalone version) and other program) work as expected.
