Default creating lines with a cell

You cannot create a grid as you ask.

Row heights and column widths are properties of the row and column.

You can enter more than one line of text in a cell by using Alt + Enter after
each string.

e.g.

this is line one Alt + Enter
this is line two Alt + Enter

etc.

I am trying to create a grid that has a bigger cell in the A column with a
description of a product and beside it a time column to take that certain
product. Is there a way I can get the B column (and subsequent columns) BUT
NOT THE A column to become separated into 4 sections within one cell?
