Default Is there any plan to incorporate an "Excel 2003 Menu type" str

OK, so just because MSFT is promoting the Ribbon does not mean that we can
not offer feedback. With all the Hype I'm guessing they know or expected
some frustration. An option for a "Classic Menu" would be a great option.

The guides, cheat sheets, interactive tools help. But we are anticipating
an extremely large training expense moving to Office 2007 (vs the move from
Office 97 to Office 2003). And not to mention the blow back from our users
here.

I'll not make excuses or lay blame at this point in time. I'm still getting
used to the new ribbon. Spending days finding where they've hidden some
things from me, and growling often. The Quick Access Toolbar is going to be
an overworked life saver as near as I can tell.

It appears that what they've tried to do is make the dropdowns more visible
to the 'new user'? At the expense of what, to me at least, was a very
compact, non-intrusive and customizable pair of toolbars (menu and icon).

This is such a new interface that MSFT has dedicated pages and pages to
hyping it and trying to help with it. Here are two pages, the first a
generic "how great it is" page covering the whole Office gamut, and the
second is specific to Excel, with some added links on the right side of
thepage to things like "Reference: Locations of Excel 2003 commands in Excel
2007":

Hope these help keep your frustration level down to acceptable levels <g

Ok Jim, I see that thank you very much.

I see how they haven't taken a lot of the flexibility out of the new program
. . . I'll be a bit more patient until I get a "full feel" of the setup.

Thanks again.

There are no 'various toolbars'. It's all on the ribbon (or whatever you
put on the QAT).

namely the form toolbar

To get the old Forms toolbar controls click the Insert control on the
Developer tab. If you do not see the Developer tab click Excel Options on
the Office button menu (the circle in the top left corner of Excel). Once
the Options dialog is open click Show Developer tab on the Popular tab.
Really, can it be more intuitive?<g
