Assuming your entries for the 2x3x3 are to be in column A.
InsertNameDefine
Name Volume
Refers to =EVALUATE(SUBSTITUTE($A1,"x","*"))

In B1 enter
=IF(A1="","",Volume)
Copy down column B as far as required
