Subject: opening two excel files in two different windows 2/19/2007

Although...use with caution. Excel acts a little strange with this feature
turned on. Opening files and XL Start items requires a workaround.

Not a good idea to leave this on all the time. Turn it on to open a second
file, and then change it back when you are finished.

I don't know if this will help anyone or not...but if you are using 2
monitors and need to open a seperate instance of excel:
Tools - Options - General - Check "Ignore Other Applications".

That will open a completely seperate window/instance of excel which you can
move independently from the 1st excel window.

I have the same point. This option only docks the open files in
separate taskbar items. But still the different sheets are in the same
window.
