Default Copy formula only from one spreadsheet to another

duke -
good idea! usually i just copy them, then "open up" the formulas
using CTRL + ` and then replace '[Scheduling Metrics April
2007.xls]AutoSys'! (for instance) with nothing.
either way is probably just as fast.
:)

It's behaving the way it is supposed to.

Try selecting the range of formulas to copy, pressing Ctrl-H and replacing
the = sign with your name - Replace All
Then copy the changed formulas, paste them into the new sheet
Do another Search & Replace, changing your name to an equal sign

Hello,
I have a range of formula's in a spreadsheet that I need to copy to another
spreadsheet but when I do a Paste SpecialFormula it copies the actual data
and references the original spreadsheet within the formula. Example:
Original formula in original spreadsheet is =COUNTA(AutoSys!B:B) and when I
paste special to another spreadsheet it is =COUNTA('[Scheduling Metrics April
2007.xls]AutoSys'!C:C). I have a whole worksheet with these formulas that I
need to copy on a regular basis, can someone tell me why it won't just copy
the formula? I have also tried paste specialFormulas and number formats,
values, values and number formats - they all give the same results.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks
