Default How do I open a microsoft works spreadsheet in excel 2007?

The .wks you refer to is a Lotus 1-2-3 extension NOT the Works one.

The only upgrade path to 2007 is to save as an Excel spreadsheet in Works
and then upgrade that in XL2007 to the new format, else saving as a Works
2.0 file will enable you to open it in Excel 2007. It will be a 2003 binary
file that will need to be saved as a xlsx (2007 file)

If I go into excel 2007, select Open and then Other file types I can see
the
'.wks' spreadsheet I want, but double clicking on it only opens up another
blank spreadsheet not the file I was expecting to see! The version of
Excel I
have comes with Home & Student 2007 version and is running under Vista, if
any of that makes a difference! Cheers
