Default Recognition of color pattern in cells to use in Conditional format

Hi Quandary,

You can't conditionally format a cell based on the conditional colour of another cell. What you can do, is apply the same logic that
conditionally formats A1 to A3 -just point the condition to A1's contents instead of A3's.

Cheers

Excel 2003. Cell A1 =Conditionally Derived Formula, A1 is formatted Red
Pattern or remains Clear with a Value in it.
Cell A3 = I Need a C F Formula so that, 1. If I put a (1)
in A3 It will allow A3 to be Formatted to Red Pattern, If A1 is Red. 2. If
Cell A1 is Clear,Cell A3 will also be Clear, Even if a (1) is in Cell A3.
3. If Cell A1 = Red, and CellA3 = (1), Then a Red Pattern
by C F will be put into A3.
4. I can not get Excel 2003 C F to recognise "Red" Does it
have this Capability, Does 2007 have it? If so How could Update My 2003 to
use with X P.
Thank You. Quandary 17 - 5 - 07
