Depends on the formula. Why don't you tell us what it is...? And you
probably ought to let us know what the "correct" result and the "wrong"
result are, as well.

One cause could be that the formula needs to be array-entered (with
CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER or CMD-RETURN). There are others.
