Default Inserting a Comment in a Protected Sheet?

Users can add comments to protected cells if yoy check 'Allow users to edit
objects' when you protect the sheet. Doing this leaves your formula protected.

I created a new timecard for our company and it looks great, is user friendly
except for one thing. Because I protected it to keep formulas from getting
edited you are now unable to "Insert Comments" by right clicking on a cell
and selecting Insert Comment. Is there any way to protect formulas in
specific cells while allowing in other cells Comments to be added? This is
how we write in specifics on what work was being done for the time entered in
a cell.

Thanks!
