You might be better off using conditional formatting to "hide" the zero.
You could write the blank into the formula but then it'll be twice as
long.

Conditional Format:

Select the cell with the formula
Goto FormatConditional Formatting
Formula Is: =cell_ref=0
Set the Font color to be the same as the fill color
