Default Eliminate duplicates in mailing list

Hi, Bob Umlas,

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I am unable to get the advanced filter
to work. I have a list of approximately 2000 contacts. In this list, we may
have 10 contacts at one address. Also in this list, their may be 5 addresses
of PO Box 1011 but located in different cities and/or states. I want to send
only one mailing to each unique address.

So, I need to be able to filter out duplicates based on information located
in the street address, city, state, & zip code columns. What's happening now,
is when the filter is run, it is filtering out all of the "PO Box 1011"
except one. I need all of these addresses in because they are for separate
contacts located in different states .

Can you point out what I may be doing wrong?

Thx for your help!

Advanced filter IS the right solution, and works well.

Hi, AnneCir,

Did you ever find a solution to this? I am trying to find out how to do

the
same thing.

Thx!

I have a small mailing list (less than 1000 entries) that I need to
"unduplicate" - but the duplicates have to be matches on several fields.
John Smith at ABC Company is not the same as John Smith at XYZ Company;

and
their mailing addresses have to match as well.

I tried to check out the Advanced Filter process, but it didn't seem

like
the right solution.

Is there a simple way to do this, or do I just keep sorting and

resorting
and eyeballing it? Thanks!
