Saving Workbook
You can mark the file as readonly in windows explorer. That makes it slightly
more difficult to destroy your original workbook.
You can file|SaveAs|Tools|General Options
and give it a password to modify (not open).
This can make it slightly more difficult, too.
But if you really want to protect it, talk to your IT staff and ask for a
network share that only you have write access to--but allow others to have read
access.
You may want to allow a trusted coworker to have write access, too (when you're
on vacation???).

Hi,
This question probably has a very simple answer.
Problem = I have a worksheet "Weekly Runs.xls" and I do not want anyone
resaving the worksheet - but I don't want to protect the contents of the
worksheet because I want people to be able to play around with it - I just
don't want people making changes and resaving the worksheet. So is there a
settings you can set so that people can't resave the worksheet as "Weekly
Runs.xls"?
Thanks for your help
