When I change the font size, only the font changes and not the Drop down
list for the validation. Are there any other options that may change the
font size of the names in the Validation drop down list. Thanks.

Note: Select the column or a range of cells assign Font size properties
before applying the Data Validation List.

Do one of the following:
1. Click the Font Size box, enetr a font size, or select a font size from
the font list.
-or-
1. On the Format menu, click Cell.
The Format Cell dialog box displays.
2. Click the Font Tab.
3. In the Size box, Enter a value or select a font size from the Size list.
4. Click OK.
