Default ...I would like Cell A1 to be the same color as Cell X11...

In cell A1, Format/ Conditional Formatting/ Formula is: =X11="C"
and set up your Green format.
Similarly for the other colours.

Thanks for the reply.

That would work if I wanted to have the same text in Cell A1 and Cell X11,
but I don't.

I want to type a date into Cell A1 and have the color the same as Cell
X11.

I have 3 conditions:

If Cell X11="C", Green
If Cell X11="I", Yellow
If Cell X11="X", Red

I should apply the same conditional formatting criterium for A1 as for
X11.
If you post the criterium, I'll try to extend it to cell A1.

I have a spread sheet where Cell X11 has conditional formatting
allowing it
to be Green, Yellow or Red.

I would like Cell A1 to change color and always be the same color as
Cell X11.

Is there a function that does this?
