How about File-Print Preview?
What happens if you close Excel, go to Start-Run, type in "excel /s" and
click OK, then open a fie, can you print then?

Finally found a way to print, by right clicking on the Excel icon (top left
corner). The print function in File & the Printer icon are still dead...
reinstalled Microsoft Office.. problem still persist.. at least I can print
