You can use a macro and assign a shortcut key.
Pasting Formats, as in Format Painter (#painter)
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/paste.htm#painter
should satisfy the requirement to not write a macro if it already
exists.

To install the macro you find there see

To install the shortcut key Ctrl+Shift+P or other shortcut of your choice see
