Default Column headers affected by sort function

But excel has trouble recognizing the header--and that's all that counts.

Maybe you could try other formatting (colors/italics/underlines) and test that.

But my own personal preference is to never let excel guess at headers--or even
guess at the range to be sorted (or subtotaled or filtered or pivottabled or
anything...).

I always select the range and go through the data|sort dialog.

When I sort, the column headers are sorted with the data. It didnt start out
that way, but does it now. I have the column headers in bold, with the
'freeze pane' on, so it should have no problem recognizing the column headers.
