Default Increase whole column by same percentage

Assume you want to increase all the numbers by 10%. Enter 1.1 in a blank
cell. Copy it. Then select the entire range in question. Select Paste
Special--Multiply and click OK.

How do I increase a whole column of figures by the same percentage. The only
way I know is to multiply the first figure by what I want and copy and paste
the rest of the way down.
