Pivot table row field order
Go to the point at which you want to insert date and type in just the main
piece of data (?company name). (Make sure you get it exactly right or you
will mess up the pivot table.) The data relating to that information will
then be re-ordered. Once you have done this the order will stay the same
when you update the pivot table. New entries will appear at the bottom of
the pivot table and will have to be re-ordered as I have described.

Hi, I'm new to pivot tables and I have a question about row field order.
Whenever I drag and drop my data, which in this case consists of company
names, onto the row field part of the pivot table, the names are
automatically alphabetized. Is there any way to change this so that the
order remains the same as that of the worksheet from which the data is
being
pulled? I have tried looking through the pivot table options and menus,
but
so far I haven't found anything that's worked.
Thanks in advance for any information.
