Default Fill handle turned into a move handle

Did you try copying the entire sheet to a new workbook? Right click the bad
sheet, select Move or copy, check Make a copy, and in the drop-down list
select (new book). If that solves the problem, delete the bad one and copy
the repaired one back to the original document.

Not sure how it happened but with one particular workbook my fill handle
is
not functioning, it has turned into a 4 way arrow and I can't fill
formulas.
I have checked options edit allow drag n drop and that looks OK.
Looked
at the visual basic editor. No funny commands or properties.
I can only think I hit some sort of key combination. I can't copy paste
this
workbook to a new one and get rid of the problem, it comes with it.
However,
it does not exist in any other workbook or new workbook.
Any suggestions?
Thanx
