Default Cell Content Cross Reference

Ron

Based on your example something like:

=IF(B2="y",B3,IF(B2="n",B4)) will do, I deleted rows and moved the contents
of both cells using Ctrl + X (cut) and Ctrl + V (paste).

Hi and TIA:
I have a spreadsheet that is more like a flow chart.

Assume that the content contained in cell A2 is referenced in Cell P20.
Further assume that Cell P20 contains the reference that it came from Cell
A2. In other words if we are looking at either cell A2 or P20 we know that
one came from or was derived or follows from the other.

Now assume that we delete row 10 so that P20 is now P19. I want the
reference P20 in Cell A2 to automatically change to P19.

Or assume that I move the content from P20 to D4. Once again, I want the
reference marker in cell A2 to show that the content is now in Cell D4.

One example: Cell A2 - Please, can you tell me the time? Possible answers
are Yes or No. If Yes, see content in cell D2, If No, see content in Cell
D10. At some point we either delete a row (or move the contents of cell D10)
so that D10 is now D8 (or the content of D10 is now in D8). At that time,
the cell A2 reference that "no" is contained in D10 will change to D8.

Please help. Can this be done?

Again, Thanks.
