The only way I was able to print grey shades of text from Excel to
black and white printer is by printing the sheet to Acrobat PDF, then
sending the PDF to the printer. If you do this, make sure you tell
the PDF writer that you want to create a color document (Print
Properties Paper/Quality Color).
