subtracting 8 from the month changes September the 9th month to the 1st
column on the table. when you subtract eight from january 1-8 = -7. the
error is occuring becauuse of the -7. the mod statement will change -7 to 5.

=+SUM(OFFSET('IS Bud 2007'!$D$13:$O$13,0,0,1,(Mod(MONTH('Income
Statement'!$D$1)-8),12)))

Good day

This is my formula to add year to date totals in a budget. I compiled this
with the help of the discussion group

=+SUM(OFFSET('IS Bud 2007'!$D$13:$O$13,0,0,1,(MONTH('Income
Statement'!$D$1)-8)))

My problem is that my fin year is form Sep-06 to Aug-07 so this worked
perfectly until Dec-06 but nou Jan-07 gives Ref# error

Could you please also explain the formula.

Thank You
