He modified his colors from the default.
If you go to Tools/Options on the color tab you copy
colors from any other open workbook. THere is also amodify
button for whichever color on the palette is highlighted.
Good luck with powerpoint, probably similar options.

I opened excel on his machine, checked the color palette
and the color he
wants is there, then I copied the cells from powerpoint
into that new excel
document and the fill color palette available then was
completely different,
the color he wanted that was JUST there is no longer
there/available - what
the heck is going on?
