Default Date copy, Paste error

This might not help - but have you tried paste special values and formats?

I am using Excel 2002 on a WinXP PC. I have a worksheet (let's call it w/sA)
that contains, among others, two columns of dates in about 15 rows.
I want to Copy and Paste these two columns into another Excel w/s (call it
w/sB) in which I have numerous columns and rows of data. I highlight the two
columns and rows in A, right click, Select Copy, then open B, highlight the
top row of my two columns, and Select Paste. The B dates that result are
weird, for example 3-June-11and 9-Jan-12, while in A they are 31-Dec-06 and
2-Jan-07. I have tried Paste Special using each of the options, but with the
same weird result. W/s B is in a set of several sheets in the same file. I
tried Pasting into each of individual sheets, all with the same weird result.

I open a blank w/s (call it C), perform the same procedure and the transfer
of the dates is made properly from A to C. I can also make the transfer into
other w/s that I have, just as a test, with good results.

Finally, I have found that I can Copy and Paste from A to B, correctly, but
only one cell at a time, and only if I Copy, not directly from the cell, but
by going to the formula bar, highlighting the date therein, Copying and then
and Pasting it into B.

This tells me that my problem seems to be in w/s B. Have you experienced
this and found a solution?
