Default remove links when pasteing formulas from one workbook to anoth

Actually I take back most of the previous post, after clicking "ok" a bunch
of times it worked, although the links don't immediatly work until you save
the file. But it got me a lot closer, thanks a ton Gary!

This process results in a message that the Formula is too long, which I can't
get out of... I have to end out. Anything else?

On the top menu command bar...
select 'EDIT'
select 'Links...'
select the link to be changed
point to your 'different workbook'
select 'OK'
select 'Close'

Note that the worksheet name in both workbooks must be the same.
ie: if you were referencing Sheet17 in the original workbook, your new
workbook must have a Sheet17.

I have a workbook with a column full of simple formulas that I need to copy
and paste to an different workbook. When I do this it creates a link in the
formula to the original workbook from which I copied. Is there an easy way
to remove the links and retain the correct formulas? It would save hours...

Thanks in advance
