Default VLookup & Formatting

1. No. Formulas ONLY return values
2. You can use a select case macro with a worksheet_change event. 200 colors
sounds a bit confusing...

Hi Folks
One of my colleagues is using VLookup to identify data. Is it possible
for
the Lookup to not only pickup the contents of the field, but also the
formatting?

I suggested he use Conditional Formatting, but he needs approx 200 colours
which aren't available in Conditional Formatting.

thanks for all your help.
