Default Auto Sum

Did you copy the numbers from, say, .html?
That can sometimes mess up formatting
if so, in another column, multiply this column *1.
This will cause the cells to be formatted as numbers.
then, try to sum this new column.

I have a column of #'s I'm trying to total. The auto sum command just leaves
me the formula but not the actual total. Also, I can't do anything with the
numbers, like format them at all. Any ideas? Thnx
