You can do that by selecting series in columns.
If you want it to be:
Jan |
Feb |
Mar |
etc. |
----------------------------------------------------
2003 2004 2005 2006 2007
That's not possible.

Thank you for your reply....and in answer to your first question - that would
be no eggnog :-P
I did a stacked column chart, with years represented there instead of one of
the axes. Back to my original question - is what I originally wanted to
accomplish even possible? I'm stuck on this format only because it's what's
been scribbled on a sheet of paper and handed to me. I'm starting to think
I'll have to convince him another layout would be better.......

Hi everyone, and welcome back from the holidays. Here is my issue, and I
really hope one of you are able to help me with it:
I am trying to chart some data and have hit a wall. Here is basically what
I'm trying to chart:
Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec
2003 $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$
2004 $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$
2005 $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$
2006 $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$
2007 $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$
I think you get the basic idea; my boss wants the $$$ amounts/revenue
charted by month and year, exactly as shown. However, when I enter the data
as shown above, I end up with the years being shown in a legend. I need the
years to appear as the "Y" axis, and for the months to appear as the "X"
axis. Can anyone poitn me in the right direction on this one? I really
appreciate any help......thanks!
