Default How Do I turn off indicators and comments?

Hi,

I am using an excel spreadsheet someone else created. Almost all of the
cells have their own comments/indicators that pop up every time I click on a
new cell. This is very distracting - how do I turn them all off??

I tried
Tools Options View Comments None


however, this did not solve the problem.
