Default Copying Conditional Formatting formulas

The dollar sign in front of the column letter tells Excel to not change the
column letter when the formula is copied. The same for a dollar sign in
front of the row number. If you want either to change, remove the dollar
sign. HTH Otto

How can I make the formulas drop down one line on each item in the
formulas?
They do have a $ such as !$I$33. Each time I copy the formula to the
right
in my compilation sheet I want it to drop down one line so that it would
be
!$I$34. I have a hugh spreadsheet, picking up information from several
other
spreadsheets, too. I am in over my head. Can you help me, please!
Thanks
for any info from anywhere!!

Try Paste Special, pasteing just the formats, and the formulas in the
Conditional Formats should paste just as regular formulas paste
(automatically shifting the range if it is not locked with the $ sign).

Hope this helps.

I need to copy a conditional formatting function to many arrays in a
spreadsheet. Is there an easy way to do this without having to go
through
the setup each time?

Thanks!
