Default Add excel horizontal & vertical ruler

I would agree with this suggestion. I have not yet tried the macro, but
figured I'd put my 2-cents in. I understand someone's earlier point that in
excel, you can select what you print and then size it and that will vary
greatly depending on what you're doing. But, if you notice that after you
click print preview, there are lines that appear on the spreadsheet where the
pages would be cut-off when printing normally without any selecting or change
in the page set-up. So, there is a default measurement that Mircosoft could
design to. Selecting an area, then sizing that area to print a specific size
wouldn't change the sheet's defaults. I think it's possible for Microsoft to
create a view (like the print layout view in word) where you could see a
ruler (on the top and left side like word) that could help you guage just how
small/large to make the cells to fit them within a certain size rather than
just within a page. You wouldn't have to use that view if you didn't want to
be bothered by the ruler, but it would be there if you wanted to. Even if
the print preview itself had rulers, that might be enough (though more
tedious) to be able to fit sections of cells into an area. And honestly, I
think if there was a ruler, this would help the user in his/her decision of
how to format what they are choosing to print. In some cases, this may very
well be irrelevant. But in others...you get the idea. Personally, I would
size my cells to fit into the ruler of the default printing area for the most
part. It would make formatting a ton easier and possibly more creative. I
definitely think it would be an extremely useful tool.

Or, another solution (or additional suggestion) would be to have the user
just input the cell size in inches (cm, mm, whatever). I understand that
excel uses pixels, points, and characters. I still think it would be simple
enough to allow the user to input things in inches and have a program convert
that to pixels, points, or characters instead of just showing the user a
conversion chart and having them figure it out. While they're at it, it
would be a simple enough matter to add something to account for screen
resolution too (if needed). It's just more math and code really.

If there is a version, download, or macro out there with either of these
already, please let me know.
